Thinking beyond blueprints is key to achieving the best possible outcomes. Timelines and task paths involving multiple trades can be streamlined significantly if those doing the early work understand the requirements of the project as a whole. De la Tierra brings a broad experience base to every job we do. With hands-on knowledge of many construction types including stick built, steel frame, timber frame, structural insulated panels (SIPs), autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) block, insulated concrete forms, conventional masonry and more, we approach each walling job not only as an opportunity to create beauty but also as essential infrastructure of a habitable space. Attention to detail and robust communications with relevant parties are among our most important tools. The walling portion of an earthen structure does not begin when the forms go up, nor end when they are stripped. Early participation in the planning process and continued involvement through the build-out is a good way to decrease costly errors and increase the value of the work we do.
