Training and Education

At De la Tierra, we want to spread the word about rammed earth – its beauty, its sustainability, the sheer magic of pulling off forms to reveal a wall that is fully complete, inside and out. To this end, we provide custom education programs to introduce you to rammed earth or to provide practical training on process and details. We’ll come to your office or classroom to give short seminars, continuing education courses, or training on specific topics of your choice.  We also provide field training on such topics as soil analysis, sampling, and testing. We’ll even provide hands-on training for construction crews on the nitty-gritty (emphasis on gritty) details of forming, mixing, placing earth in forms and proper tamping technique.
